Nursing care for adults with complex cognitive, physical and emotional support needs; and those with a disorder of consciousness or with airway rehabilitation needs, including patients with minimal responses.
‘Tertiary specialised’ rehabilitation services (Level 1) are high cost / low volume services, which provide for patients with highly complex rehabilitation needs following illness or injury, that are beyond the scope of their local general and specialist services.
Each specialised rehabilitation unit in London has its own particular specialisms such as managing patients requiring complex medical care, tracheostomies, challenging behavioural issues etc. Please check individual service specifications for more details to ensure that patients are referred to the most appropriate service(s) and choose a maximum of 3 services that are clinically suitable.

We provide wide-ranging care for people suffering from complex conditions related to, or caused by, acquired/traumatic brain injury and other neurological illnesses, including spinal cord injury. We deliver these services in both hospital and community settings across the South of England.
We are the only anthroposophic hospital in the UK and serve the population nationally, in addition to providing services internationally with our expertise in neurological disorders and rehabilitation. We work closely with NHS and social care colleagues to deliver integrated care that is shaped to an individual’s needs, which is regularly reviewed.
